The simple cradle – starting from birth onwards
Since the cradle position does not allow the legs to be put in the spread-squat position, this variation is only suitable for babies without hip problems. Please wait for the okay after your ultrasound scans before you tie using the cradle method.
In addition there are many babies who cry in the cradle position because they are in the normal breast-feeding position, their nose is pressed against the "source" but they are not getting anything. You could try to breast-feed them once again or try another tying method (e.g. the wrap cross-carry) in which your baby might prefer to be carried.
