The double cross-carry – from birth onwards

- 11. where you should tie them with a slipknot

- 12. Now you can check the knot to see that it really can be slipped.
If the knot in front of your stomach irritates you, you can also tie the knot to the side (at your hip). To do this, do not take hold of the cloth in the middle at the beginning, but leave one side slightly longer!

- 13. Now the loops around your front are pulled downwards to make sure that both loops are the same length. This is perhaps easier using a mirror at the beginning!

- 14. Lie the baby over one shoulder and pass one hand through one of the loops.

- 15. Then take hold of your baby’s foot and guide it downwards.

- 16. Now place the baby on your other shoulder and do the same on that side.

- 17. When your baby is sitting on the X, please make sure that the X is slightly higher (coccyx) so that it is easier for you to pull the cloth lengths apart!

- 18. Now pull the inside length of cloth to widen it out across your baby’s bottom until the edges are behind the hollow of both knees.
