HOPPEDIZ® baby slings with certificate for UV protection

Since 2009 we have our baby slings tested at regular intervals by the certification body Hohenstein Laboratories (Institute of the International Test Association for Applied UV Protection) according to  UV Standard 801.

Current protection factors between 10 and 80 have been determined for the respective slings.

Most of our woven baby slings and our light baby slings already have a special sunscreen label. Basically, the protection factors from our test reports apply for all slings – regardless of with or without label. The exact sun protection factor of all tested baby slings according to our relevant test certificates can be found here.

Please remember to take always extra precautions to protect the uncovered sensitive skin of children in baby slings exposed to direct sunlight. Apply a baby sunscreen with a very high sun protection factor, and cover the child’s head with a hat. Baby’s legs can best be protected using HOPPEDIZ® arm and leg warmers made of BIO cotton or conventional socks.
