My opinion on Hoppediz® baby slings:

In my work as a freelance midwife, I like to introduce the Hoppediz® baby sling to parents in my preparatory courses, in combination with a “course on how to wear the sling”. Interested parents can then borrow a sling from me and take time at home to practice with their baby. I increasingly notice that many couples then decide quickly to embark on this method of carrying, partly because it offers so many variants.

Just like me, they are thrilled with the quality of Hoppediz® baby slings (diagonally stretchable and tested for harmful substances according to the Öko Test criteria), the beautiful combinations of colours and the very detailed sling-tying instructions. The sling is then practically used from the very beginning. I am present at many out-patient and home births and see how quickly the babies grow into “their” slings.

It is highly recommended for twins because you only have two hands, and when both twins are crying you can sit or place one twin in the sling, and still have your arms free to hold the other. It is also very important for premature infants to be carried a lot, giving them physical contact, to compensate for the loss of time in the mother’s womb by “being carried”.

Last but not least, many parents prefer the Hoppediz® baby sling to those of other sling manufacturers because they are excellent value for money.

As a midwife, I also use the 6,5 metre Hoppediz® cloth as a “hanging loop” at the birth, which can take place vertically without the mother-to-be having to stand on her legs. She can, should and is allowed to let herself “hang”.
