Since 1999, we have been dealing with carrying babies in slings. We started our baby slings at a high quality level and continued to improve them. Our reward was an overall assessment of “very good“ in the German ÖKO magazine test in both 2005 and 2006 for their Small Children Yearbook. We are extremely proud of these results.

 

 
In the following years we were often spoken to by customers, and also by midwives, breast-feeding and carrying consultants, as to whether we could offer an alternative to the classical baby sling. We gave this idea a lot of thought, which resulted in the concept of the BONDOLINO®.


When designing our carrying aid, we benefited from our many years of experience with baby slings and our training as carrying advisers. In addition, we often spoke to recognised and extremely experienced people from the “carrying scene“ about the BONDOLINO®, and incorporated their expertise, ideas and suggestions into our product. A designer and a pattern cutter implemented our requirements, which resulted in the BONDOLINO® - the ergonomic front and back carrying aid made by HOPPEDIZ®.

 

The BONDOLINO® is the first carrying aid which has been made of diagonally stretchable weave from a baby sling given the assessment of “very good“. This guarantees that the baby's back is optimally supported, and also that the person carrying is given as much comfort as possible. The wide leg base ensures that the baby is carried using the correct spread-squat position.We also received feedback indicating that especially fathers often had problems with classical baby slings. The tying techniques often appeared to be too complicated, and carrying a child in a sling was seen as too “alternative“. Our BONDOLINO® is very simple to tie without appearing to be too technical. We deliberately decided not to use too much plastic or too many buckles.
